Announcing a Anytime Barterthon policy for Vintage building Parts & Architectural Pieces

For those who are short on cash, long on stuff like tools, guns, trailers, tractors, trucks, etc….. and you want the parts and pieces to create your own Organic House using all vintage parts and pieces, well we have a deal for you.

This is a new twist on an old theme, 100 years old in a small town one often traded in a form of barter which we have forgotten for the most part. Suppose you had an old wagon you did not need and the lumber yard had some windows and doors you wanted.

You could take that wagon and trade it to the lumber yard without having to convert your wagon into money, and back into the products you needed. If someone had eggs, they could trade them for honey or fish, and many other things. Through out history sugar, tobacco, alcohol, and spices have functioned as bartering tools equivalent to currency.

Why not bring such a concept back into use if you have a baby boomer generation 72,000,000 strong with more stuff collected than any other time in history. From Barbie dolls to fishing lures, stamps to baseball cards, our generation has collected incredible things that only have a limited audience and demand in many cases. So trading, or bartering is a great way to convert them without tax ramifications and perhaps a way to begin downsizing by bartering to get the other things that will take us to the new vision that we have as we age.

Windows, doors, trim, and more could be brought into an old empty building that is doing nothing for the town, then turned into houses, careers for the young, and a path for the elders to become a valuable part of the society again, as they still possess the knowledge it takes to create the world I dream of. We must do this before that wisdom and knowledge is lost.

On the other hand, trailers, tractors, tools, and many things can be used to buy many of the things you will need to build your own tiny house, or group of them instead of a big house. Yes, you can get the windows, the doors, the siding, flooring, roofing, and much more by bartering many of the things left to you by elders who pass or that you simply do not need any more.

This is a short announcement for people to consider what they have to barter and what they would like to get from our vast inventories of doors, windows, and all the other parts most would need or want to use to build an organic tiny house or complete a project. You may be able to use some things to barter for admission to a seminar on how to build so as to learn how to create a house by getting rid of tools, cars, trucks, tractors, and other functional items for the functional items you need too.

Beginning October 1st 2016, and lasting forever, hopefully we will see more people taking advantage of the extra way to bring your dreams and visions closer to reality. We will have a Barter Policy for Salvage to help perpetuate the Pure Salvage Living Renaissance to a new level that everyone can be a part of sooner than later. No cash needed, just the right stuff to barter. What do you have that we might want. Email me and let me know at Darby@puresalvageliving.com and I will get back with you as to if we can use it and give you the things you desire in return. Many things like bow and Arrow sets, cross bow, live catfish/ tilapia for our ponds, guns, rifles, restaurant equipment, motorcycles, four wheeler, RV’s, and much more will be considered and politely decided upon but no Beanie Baby collections and other great consumerism collections as we can not house them will need to be able to see the value before we make a trade.

This “Barterthon Policy” will now be part of our offerings and we will hopefully see this help many who can not afford it otherwise, to barter and trade your way into a home. If it works we will do it again, if not, this is your only chance ever to barter for the parts you need for your house of your dreams.

So don’t let your lack of cash stop you from moving forward with your vision to get the parts and pieces you need to build a tiny house or learn how to get the parts and turning them into houses. There may be a way to simply trade what is considered trash by some for what is considered trash by someone else. Ultimately I hope to get the Salvagefaire market up and running so you can take this another step, but for now, let me know if you are interested in the idea of bartering your way to a home of your dreams.

We are getting much closer and hope to see the market and Salvagefaire open this winter while it is cooler and people may be thinking more of downsizing with the economy. Heh.

Email at BWK@tinytexashouses.com if you have something you would like to trade for and we can see if there is a way for it to happen.
