Lets use the Monty Grand Victorian to make a political statement!!!

If you think the tiny House movement is not the forefront of a political movement to actually live like you want to save the planet instead of just bitch and live large while the worlds problems persist, then this is the wrong page. The pollution you create with your daily life is what you should focus on, the energy you personally use, the waste you create, the poisons you give your kids, and do more than just carry on and attack those who are doing something to make a difference. Live without your big house, car, and new cloths, big TV, massive electric usage with AC, appliances, and more. hypocrisy at its best is exposed on this site by watching those who do not live the lifestyle attack those of us who do. I do not have AC, AC electricity, running water, or other things I do not need in my master suite of a tiny house. I listen, watch, and know that many of the people getting upset by my stance on global and space weather are in fact using much more of the planet to live on than is their fair share if you want to talk about conservation of the resources. But….. will they change their ways or just get angry and carry on doing the same crap?

All of these pictures show what can be done with salvaged materials. The real purpose behind this page is to teach others what is possible to use instead of new building materials, and how to create as much usable space as possible out of tiny spaces so as to help people imagine living smaller instead of larger, as most seem to be inspired to do who are over 40 years old. This is about how you could do better, build smarter, think about healthier living choices, village living, peace on the planet through our individual behavior, not just bitching to get it to stop, but doing what it will take to reduce the demands on resources and quit producing so much waste.

Vi
There are actually people who come to this site and just want to see pretty pictures of tiny houses and not address the issues in the world that are making it scary for the kids of the future who will inherit the consequences of our wasteful generations in America and the developed countries that are pillaging the tiny countries for their wealth. The madness needs to stop, and consumerism, promoted more by American TV and our society than anywhere else in the world, needs to change soon or the world will take its toll on the populations through sickness and food shortages, as well as many other consequences of polluting the planet.
This is just one of the solutions that we can take to heart and live by, to help create jobs, homes, and purpose in people’s lives, create solutions in a society desperate for a new path other than the American Dream of having it all and being in debt forever, locked into jobs few have a passion for in order to pay for it all. In the end it is the love, friendship, family, your health, and your happiness that are much more important than the things you will save up and stash inside a big house or wear on your big body. Wake up and you will find there is a simpler path to happiness without being critical and judging others for having an opinion that is not like your own, as we all tend to do, when we can agree to disagree and have discourse instead of deleting, unfriending, unfollowing, and trash talking because we have no better intellectual input or positive energy to add to the game. Don’t just bitch about what is wrong, be part of the solutions by learning the real depth and solutions to the problems at hand.

Does that have anything to do with the weather on all the planets changing, the sun cooling off with less sunspots, or the cause of the change in the weather on our planet, not really compared to volcanos, Gamma radiation from the cosmos, Solar radiation, etc. We are a tiny part of the big pictures and could be wiped out without much notice with the planet going on just fine, through deep ice age after deep ice age, then warming for a millennium or two for people and critters to flourish before more cataclysm occurs. Cycles people, if you look back at the ice cores they drilled, lots of cold times and warmer times as well. Don’t be fooled by the propaganda, live a life that is going to better the planet, and keep your mind open to the new facts, data, and ways we are learning that do affect our planet more than we ever thought in the past when we did not have satellites, massive computers, and the geniuses to interpret the information with the guts to tell the truth instead of scientists who sell out so they get grants, recognition by the powers that be, and a moment of fame for promoting the party line. Wake up and think for yourself, do the research, and you will see the facts. Short of that, unfollow, unfriend, hide my posts, and keep on the path you have chosen for there is no better way than to learn but through experience if you refuse to have dialogue and learn more than just following what the narrative will provide.
So in order to help create a place where people can gather, share, talk about the possibilities, have music and film festivals, and even a market where all things old or crafted from this country can be bartered and sold. For the people who do want to know more about organic living, housing, and alternative health care, we need a space to meet amidst the biggest cities in Texas so I am creating Salvage, Texas to be such a place. Here are some picture of the progress as a big part of the decks have been completed. Next the stage on the back of the building and the completion of the kitchen so the guests at the B&B with Tiny Organic Cottages will have a place to meet, eat, and share their thoughts in dialogue, not just a bunch of people agreeing with a delusional narrative out of fear of not being PC, which is supposed to mean Politically Correct but has turned into a means of suppressing free speech for those calling themselves liberals these days. Freedom of Speech is more important than being PC so hopefully we will have a home for those who prefer Free Thought being shared to gather.
Pity the world can not agree to let others think for themselves but some people do want to see the day when the government can tell them what to eat, think, and do every day. May it bring them peace and may they allow others to know peace even when they disagree.

Rare Chance to own an Organic Cottage called the “Homesteader” built by Tiny Texas Houses?

Yes, once set out in the country, the sub divisions have grown all about and ruined the get away for the family that first bought the Homesteader a bit more than 4 years ago. I hope you enjoy the trip through memory lane when we created this great house that is being offered up for resale. It is only the third house I created to ever be offered up for resale that I am aware of. We NOW Have some more shots of the interior and exterior soon but until then, if you want to get ahead of the crowd and possibly get a chance to invest in this rather good sized home with a full bath, kitchen, living area, back and front porches, and a classic style. It was first started in 2010 and finished in the beginning of 2012, taking nearly a year to complete.

Easily big enough for two to sit at while the other two cook.

This incredible house is presently sitting all the way up in McKinney Texas so the many of you up in the Ft. Worth and Dallas areas that have wanted an Organic Tiny Texas House for the last decade, this may be your only chance as we are no longer taking orders for more to leave Salvage, Texas. This House is special, the first of the series with our now Classic Tiny Texas Roofline. The Homesteader size is 12′ x 21′ main first floor and about half that much floor area on the loft level, which does not count as living space for taxing purposes so this is barely more than a portable building, when it comes to the property taxes. If you use it for a B&B there is no motel tax as long as it is portable, and for sale, even if you do have it priced at a quarter million.

For now though, The Homesteader is priced at only $97,500 where it is so there will be some costs to move it which will be up to the buyer. So the closer it stays to McKinney, Texas, where it sits now, the less expensive it may be to move. How far can it go? Nearly anywhere in the country in Texas, but not so much in the cities. For more info if you are seriously interested and have the bucks to buy it without financing, and move it to your ranch or homesite, please let me know how I can help out. This is only the second house to ever sell that has been lived in by the owners and I am helping them find a new home. I do not own this house but will help in any way I can to get it relocated as well, though for a price as the crew will want to be fed and paid I imagine.
Thank you for your interest. For email contact: BWK@tinytexashouses.com will open the doors to communication and possibly the dreams of you living in this house turning into a reality.

My favorite parts & pieces that bring Tiny Texas Houses into my vision

But they are simply what I would do with the doors and windows that call out to be the focal point of a house. When designing, I would take the parts the client wanted, such as a fancy door, windows, or other part, and then focus the style of the house around that. Here are some pictures of houses I have done for ideas and another hundred pictures of some of the stuff in the 87,000 sf warehouse and in the Luling warehouse. Have not gotten by the other warehouse to take pictures there yet. It is 28,000 sf more but not entirely full, just over half.

From simple sinks that were cast nearly a hundred years ago and used more energy to mine the ore, smelt it, cast the sink, then put several layers of porcelain over it at 2,400 degrees in the oven, the energy used is as much as this house will need to power the AC and heat in Texas for its entire life. THAT is energy savings that is never factored into new houses.

Even at 18' tall, it transported fine on a trailer. The issue is the height on the roadways, as bridges tend to be lower than 16' quite often. This was designed to take the top 4' off so the roof could be transported separately.

One of the many stair systems I created for going upstairs without using up a huge amount of floor space like a modern stair. New code says you would need 13 steps 36" wide inside the rails, climbing no more than 7" per step, thus using up 25 square feet of the room for stairwell. This uses 5 square feet and the bathroom uses 25 sf.

Special windows, balconies, details and more details, that is what makes a house unique. Who wants a house that is just like the neighbors?

This is an example of breaking away from the square lines normally found in houses, particularly looking up stairs.

Corbels in a new life, dressing up windows, creating balconies, and much more, with just a little imagination and engineering amazing things are possible. That balcony has had as many as 5 people on it at once and not a bit a sag.

Porch posts, on a porch roof that folds down for transport, as well as the upper roof. 23,000 lbs of salvaged lumber, doors, windows, exotic woods, and much more from the past that have been reformed into a house like no other. It can roll down the road to a new home again one day, but the place it is at now, is likely the last spot it will rest.

Here is the Arched Brownie before she gets her paint. Notice the windows. They come from 9 different houses. Again, the parts determine the design.

This is a slab of wood we call a skin, slices off from beams that were hundreds of years old when cut down as tress, a hundred years old as far as having done their job holding up building, and now, part of a house. I love to use the laminated eyes from magazines to put behind the knot holes to wake people up to the spirit in the wood. Heh.

o here are some of the other great parts sitting in the warehouses that I had envisioned houses for already. I see a door and windows and visualize a Tiny Texas House forming around them. Sadly, these will never become parts of a Tiny Texas House now,

most likely, as I only intend to create another 15 to complete the 100 examples i set out to build 9 years ago. Slow going, I know, part of my poor management skills. We live and learn. Please take a look and let us know what we can provide you with to build out your dream Tiny House. If you have questions about stuff, please email or call. We can ship if you like to save you a trip here or you can make an appointment to come look at this stuff and much more.
