From The Street It Is Impossible To See The Creek Below, Or Anyone Down There.

Imagine…a Swiss Family Robinson set of Organic cottages, an Oasis hidden in Trees…

Its been a few years now since I bought this Oasis in Seguin, Texas with the dream of one day putting some tiny organic cottages up in the trees with walkways in between.  I do not think I will get to that now as the other things seem to have burned up the years faster than I planned and still so much to do.  So this is my treasure I am offering up perhaps, if something else does not come up to alter my dreams of the moment.  Please enjoy the beautiful pictures and if possible even stop by and savor the cool water, shade, songs of nature, and peacefulness of this paradise.

I am putting my dream oasis Geronimo creek side, tree filled paradise on the market as part of a possible array of changes in my life.  This is the most beautiful and idyllic slice of Earth that I have owned in every way, for the crystal clear year round swimming, fishing, and total privacy, for its rippling water over the rocks as it passes down to the Guadalupe River. It has full utilities on the 3/4 acres paradise that is in the flood plain in a very nice high end neighborhood in Seguin, Texas. Skinny dip in the cool water without anyone being able to see, and lie mesmerized by the birds, crickets, frogs, and other wildlife on the 5 wooded acres that surround the property, un-lived on and quit peaceful.

I dreamed of putting 5 Tiny Texas Houses up in the trees connected with catwalks from the main eating house to the master suites, the library/study and thus barely be seen up in the trees and built high enough to simply sit and watch the floodwaters without worry from above.

Please check out the beautiful pictures of what I find to be my paradise. If I can not find someone to go along with me to create this possible B&B in the treetops, then perhaps I will be able to sell it to someone who just might want to materialize such a vision.

The water is clear, not having gone through any cities to pick up their treated sewage on the way out. Still crystal clear.

The water flows off the rapids where it winds through the shallows from a deep hole on the Oasis that is hundreds of feet of deep water before getting to the dam up above on the stream where there is a drive over bridge.

Nice shade all day long, yet we have a grass that grows anyway.

See the deep swimming and fishing hole. 8-12' deep as close as I can tell with lots of big bass, catfish, and bluegill.

There is no one living on the bluff on the back side of the creek and we can c ross over to it on the rocks. It rises 50' or more to the top, no houses for acres of trees.

Looking further up, you can not see the end of it from the property. Oh yes, there is also a small cave under the roots of the giant oaks.

It is my paradise when I really need to relax, but it is 16 miles from where I live now, and unless things change fast this month as I re-configure my life, I will not be able to build the five Tiny Texas Houses I planned to lift up into the trees. It is 3/4 of an acres with a 100 trees, for $95,000 is all it will take for someone else to have that chance to build my tree houses, or if nothing else, to savor, steward, and enjoy this peaceful place until it can be handed off to someone who will respect and appreciate what it could be, so different from anything else around, and a sanctuary by any standard. If I could sell all other property this month and move there, I just might, but we will see what comes following this blue moon tonight. I may very well change my mind on this offer so that is a caveat for this offer.

If you are interested in looking at it with Google maps, it should come up as 575 Hermitage Lane which is where Hermitage and Monticello meet. What a cool corner to live on one day. Nice quiet town only a half hour out of San Antonio, little further from Austin, and 16 miles from here for easy delivery of a special order I would take for 5 houses, even if for no one else was possible, just to see the dream materialize.
For more information call us or email us at bwk@tinytexashouses.com or 830—- 875—- 2500 for the phone number and ask for Darby.

It appears I may let it go to add more ponds and features to Salvage Texas instead.  If interested, now is the time to chat about how we can work together to create something great, or perhaps I will let it go to be someone else’s dream instead.  Oh yes, the price is $95,000 and it is in the flood plain, but the houses built down the street are simply up on stilts for the mildly rare but recurrent flooding of the creek.
