Yes, it is true, I must put 1/3 of the land up for Sale that I had bought and saved to create Salvage, Texas. That sale of 13 acres at the commercial end of the town will take the portion left down to 30 acres which will be enough for Salvagefaire and a few of the villages I plan to create for people to come and stay at during events we will hold here, like car and bike rallies, Steampunk in addition to the marketplace. Price dropped to at $450,000 asking with the option to go down to 10 acres or less with pricing depending on the location.

13 acres +/- are up for sale at the prime corner location where the two highways meet and the overpass takes you to Luling, Tx on the other side of IH10. While I hate to sell it, I am hoping for a compatible investor, developer, or person who will want to also see this corner and land become an example of positive development. This is the last exit for nearly 20 miles with Utilities from the city, so anything is possible, from hotel to restaurant, or simply a highway based business that can service Austin and San Antonio within 35 minutes from here.

The property has 500′ of frontage on State Highway 80 and more than that on IH10 with two way access to the front. The elevation is varied but we have the ability to do the dirt work to level areas as part of the deal as well.

The Satellite view lets you see the houses on the hwy 80 border and the corner lot that has the old gas station that will also come up for sale shortly. The big money would be in holding on a bit longer as the corner can not be developed without them buying some of the adjoining property as the access to that space is now severely limited as they need more curb entry to legally have an ingress and egress due to the proximity to the corner, an entry ramp for the highway, and being on a state highway on the other side as well. Three other people own the remaining lots and houses behind the store. Down the road in time, this whole corner will be stores, restaurants, and hopefully a tasteful selection of retail, but if we can get a compatible investor to pick up and hold or develop this chunk, Salvage, Texas could be the jewel in the middle of the three big cities of central Texas… Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. We are at the heart of the Golden Triangle and I do hope others will see this and join me in creating an oasis of alternative thinking, building, and development of a market that allows for barter, all things salvaged, crafted, and not freshly imported and made from new resources. Organic food markets, crafts markets, and salvage should be spread across the country so that we can transfer the assets we have without having to convert them to dollars, pay taxes, and then use the income to buy food and clothes. If we barter, the difference is a savings to us, the people, at the expense of the government that would just use the taxes to support the wars it seems to love instead of the people who need help right now.

My Dream Buyer would be to see organic oriented businesses consider the location as there is a demand for an outlet and market collection distribution center in this area as we have many organic growers servicing the cities in our area and the highway could become a great source of customers as well.

For many, being able to pick up organic foods that we drive to the city once a week for would be a business in itself if they could have a satellite store for pickup of regular orders of size. (Calling on Whole Foods, Central Market, Wheatsville Coop, and others to consider climbing out of the box for something like this.

While this may not happen, I have high hopes that others will come up with a plan, the financial support, and the gumption to get out and make a difference in the world by climbing out of the box, investing in something that might actually make a difference in the world, and make a good bit of money as well.
