This was a house that was filled with color, charm, and unique decor that Gladys was fully responsible for. She kept coming up with great ideas, parts, and pieces that took this Tiny Texas House to the zenith of my portfolio of Art Houses. This is in the larger Tiny Houses class again, with a big kitchen, Bath, and living area with a trundle bed topped of by a big loft too. Then great porches and even a screened in, glassed in, and insulated back porch that added another 120 sf of living space. Here are some pictures to pique your imagination and inspire you to Dream Tiny with Salvage Building when you downsize. For many Baby Boomers and surprisingly many kids in their 25-35 yr age group, this is a viable solution for living a great life.
The door was a charmer.
Makes a great picture frame too.
Superb detailing on this one, much more than most.
Here is an example of the size that creates a Space Magic that makes the place seem bigger when I am not in the loft.
This is a trundle bed, that means the second twin bed puls out from underneath. Closet on each side with a ladder going up one of the doors.
A Kitchen with 19 doors and drawers, even secret compartments. Held a 10.5 Cu. ft. fridge, Convection oven/micro, a double induction plate that hides when not in use, and did it all without showing it to the public unless you went into the kitchen area.
The loft ladder was extremely unusual.
Not to mention, the loft was huge and could hold the bed and a little area for the grand daughters to hold tea time.
The bottom of the stair has a doll house with a garage space too. The end of the hall has a space for a washer dryer, a closet, and space to fold clothes too.
Beautiful bath with period fixtures on the sink and lots of space. Even has a make up and get ready space behind the door.
This is one of the nicest bathroom sinks areas for the marble top and fixtures are a delight.
Fold up table for the girls to eat at and draw.
On the left along the way is a closet, as well as at the end of the hallway.
Top view of the deep and shallow sink kitchen with the pull out induction plate on the side.
Part of the back porch.
Sitting spot with a place to keep the dog food safe from racoons.
The front porch view once it was on site.
Great view as we were finishing up the fron porch. She is a beauty to behold for sure.
Perhaps someone will commission a house of this caliber for 2016 too, which would delight me indeed for it was a joy to create. Got some ideas you want in your house that we can manifest together. Please share with your friends who are thinking of downsizing so they might use 95% Pure Salvage to do it with too.
