New Plan for Music / Film Festival Venue ….One door closes and another one opens

One of my goals when I started putting together Salvage, Texas was to create a music and film festival venue to promote the positive things we can do for our planet using Salvaged materials. It includes a market place where people can bring all things used and barter, sell, or trade them for organic foods, cloths, antiques, and all the parts and pieces anyone would need to build houses, tiny or big. It is intended as a place that events can be held such as benefit concerts, Film and Music festivals, car rallies, motorcycle rallies, weddings, family reunions, and much more. We do not have curfews in Salvage, Texas

I do not know which crowd funding avenue to use for sure but I may try IndiGoGo first as they may have the biggest music and film following and we will set the target as low as I believe it can be to get this started, with any extra going to create bath houses, covered camp spaces, and other features that will make this the most unique venue in the country. Please put your comment to Brad@Tinytexashouses.com if you have ideas that you think will help, want to participate in making this happen, and become part of a legend.

This takes people up to the second floor gathering area that will be able to hold meetings, people eating, drinking, and sharing the ideas we all have and can implement that will make a difference on the planet and our society.

The wainscot came from Buffalo NY, like other parts from all over the country which will form the coolest place to gather for hundreds of miles around.

It is already 2/3d built but I am looking for a path to include more people into the plan so as to get the music venue for the kind of music that can do what the Beatles, Joan Baez, Peter Paul and Mary, and others did to help end the war in Vietnam. I want a Drive-in theater we can set up and take down for the film festival venue that will let aspiring videographers premier their works that will never be allowed on the big screens of the corporate theaters or TV because the content is too political, to outspoken about the issues we need to address to save the world.

Here is a side view toward San Antonio, 45 minutes to the heart of that city too. Below you see where we have a couple of the first buildings set up that will be for retailing some of the crafts and creations of those who work with pieces of the past to form a great future.

We have all the materials in stock to build the market spaces, and anything else that we can fund the labor on or get people to come join together to build. Covered and screened camp spaces that the people who help build them will get to use for a year for free at events they want to come to for example, and much more. I have thousands of windows, doors, screens, and all the wood we need to build an example of what can be done with salvage. The venues will let us gather veterans, musicians, film makers, salvagers, artists that work with parts from the past or the present to express their energy of soul in ways that inspire others to contribute, not take away from the planets and helping to inspire others the work to heal her.

Here is the entry to the studios, which will allow for some music recording, video filming to capture the wisdom and knowledge of those who come through with so much knowledge to offer before they go. It is mostly soundproofed but also will have a door to the stage on the back of the building so we can also do live recording of the concerts that we can have from the back of Salvagefaire as well as other spots for stages to set up. The possibilities are endless.

The door out the back leads to the stage area and view of the audience area.
The back door, one of two, will let us get to the stage area which will be 12' x 40' and well above the crowd so the music can reach far back into the area behind the dual purpose parking area and into the grass and tree areas.

Redwood on the walls, Long Leaf Pine for the ceilings and floors, and lots of other doors we can bring in to alter the sounds.

The front will have a green screen, or white screen back ground to do videos, radio shows, and much more so as to get the word out to the masses when good ideas, wisdom, and knowledge can be recorded and blasted across the world on the internet.

This is a path where we can bring our kids out for a weekend to learn about nature, for we have so many ways to teach a different path than consumerism, yet few places now to go and show the examples, hear the music about the positive paths, and see the films being made that help teach others how to get to that peaceful simple life we so need to bring back. I call it the Pure Salvage Living Renaissance for I have chosen this path to awaken other using my Tiny Texas Houses and all things built from the past. Now you can join me in creating a space where you can come share in the Renaissance too.

I can do this with vintage beams cut to let cars drive up enough to create the classic tilt we had in drive-ins of my youth and use the FM radios to broadcast the audio into the cars instead of the monotone squawk boxes we used to hang inside the windows of our cars. We can to this so easily now, and make a place in the middle of Austin, San Antonio, and Houston where we have no curfews, no Police state on our back, and the ability to provide camping, RV spaces, and houses to stay in over the weekends for the old fashioned 2-3 day concerts.

I have the city water, the sewer taps, the electric, the concessions restaurant, and even a recording studio already in place. I have the giant parking lot that is over an acre, the space for the marketplace, and enough materials to provide donors with all they need to build permanent booths to sell their wares of all types to the people who come to the many events we can have. Weekends dedicated to music, to film, to sharing knowledge about how to build Tiny Houses with seminars, to teach from the elders to the kids the many things our society will soon lose if we do not come up with a way to share this wisdom before they die. This is one of my dreams I have been working to create for 9 years and I am still determined to succeed. We can have an incredible location reminiscent of Southpark Meadows in South Austin where Willy Nelson held a Farm Concert, and many of the other classic venues where multi-day concerts were possible without being ridiculously priced.

With this plan for Salvagefaire Market and Event venue I can create the funding just from the income from concessions and parking to keep going with creating the plans for Tiny Texas Houses. This would create an income stream to get the book published showing others how to adapt the salvage they may find to build houses that are toxin free, sustainably built, energy efficient, and able to empower millions to create housing from what our ancestors have left behind for us in the form of old houses, barns, and buildings that are now obsolete, yet full of valuable materials.

This shows the whole property that is now available, some of which is for sale at the moment and hopefully will get some sympathetic investors to join me in creating a venue, a toxin free salvage built hotel, and much more before we are don.

It would create a venue for the words, music, film, market, and Sunday gatherings to call on our Source of this great energy of Soul that makes life possible, makes miracles possible, and gives us the common bonding we need to save a planet in distress. I believe that by giving the time and space for these events that I can contribute one of the key components to spreading the good news that is out there, the solutions, hope, and help people join together under banners of many sorts. Steampunk, preppers, salvagers, organic growers, and so many that do not have a venue to gather at, yet from here 18,000,000 people can reach us in less than an hour and a half, get out of the city and celebrate life in many different ways.

And from on high I see so much, like the village down below, that in a dream was what could change the world's path I know.

And from on high I see so much, like the village down below, that in a dream was what could change the world’s path I know.

Down through the trees the roofs are clear. The path there maybe not, but knowing what is down there gives me hope that all's for naught.

So thus I sit and meditate, on the highest point around. No higher point from here to sea, 150 miles down, to a shoreline where the water, salty and with life at risk, awaits what man will do to change the path that we are on. I meditate and pray that all will climb up high to see, and do what we can do to save the planet that I see.

From my point of view, all things are still possible and miracles happen every day. Please consider becoming part of another one that I have envisioned and know is possible.

For those that want free tickets to concerts, or to through a concert and get the space for a day or two, these are just a few of the rewards I expect to offer to those who help. I will be giving all the materials needed to build a space in the market so that only the labor is needed to create a unique space that can be used to sell the wares of those who create with pieces from the past, or other materials that do not harm the planet in the process. We can work together to make a space on the planet that will be a model for the rest of the world to copy if they like it. Please email if you want to be a part, donate, or book your festival as part of the way we will gather the funds to finish this incredible venue.

With Love and Gratitude for your time, attention, and sharing with your artistic friends,
