The idea behind creating a Market and event venue I call Salvagefaire is to enable more people to come and be part of the change we can create with Salvage. It is a way for us to share the songs, the films, and the market to barter and sell the parts, the plans, and the houses that will open a new path for the generations still to come. This is a great way for those who like to get away from the cold of the north for the winters to not only write it off against any taxes, but to create an income while they are home that will pay for their winters here in the warmth of the Texas as well.
This sketch shows how the building will finish out with the stage on the back. Many bands have their own stages and equipment and we have other locations to set up on the property, but this will be the easy stage in front of the recording studio so that live recordings could be done easily. The decks wrap around the building so as to also provide a gathering space for people to be able to meet and share ideas about the subjects of the events going on, whether it be Salvage mining, building, and hunting, or the car rallies, bike rallies, and other gatherings that can be held on the large parking area. The market will run around the perimeter of the parking area and provide plenty of space for people to bring crafts, art, music, and other things they create to sell to the people who come for events. Weekends will provide opportunity to gather together, camp out and get away from the city, and move forward with dreams of creating tiny house villages, learn more about prepping for the possible SHTF scenarios, learn about organic gardening from vendors selling what they have grown and much more.
This is the foundation on which the market and event venue is built upon, a company that has proven we can do amazing things with 95% Pure Salvage by building incredible Tiny Texas Houses that will provide toxic free living space for the next century or more.
It seems that so far, the IndieGoGo campaign is not getting much support and apparently I do not know enough about how social platforms find the inspiration to support ideas that will benefit many people instead of just the person who donates. My old fashioned perspective of building the community that in turn changes the world seems to lack a great following so far, but I am hopeful that at some point people will share, Tweet, and get involved, even if only for a small amount of money, or time it takes to grow a dream into a reality. After all, the land is here ready, buildings most of the way finished, the materials are all in stock to finish this main facility and literally build the entire market if 100 spaces were to be created, as well as 100 Tiny Texas type houses to fill in the acreage around the center of Salvage, Texas. These are some of the houses already on the property and even available to move into other location or leave in place as a space for you to stay in during the winters, or when you want to get out of the city. When not here, you will be able to make a guaranteed income of 9% of your cost of the house paid out in dividends that will fund your trips back and forth from the north when winter comes. Much better than an RV I believe.
The idea behind Salvagefaire is to create the income source for those who decide to live here part of the year or full time. For snowbirds, this is a chance to own a tiny house to come stay in rather than haul a giant RV each year and have the tiny house earn you money for paying for the next years visit while you are back north for the summer. The options to let us put the house in service with a B&B plan on the side of the highway is a tremendous way to write off the house for depreciation as a business investment, have a valuable asset when you finish, and a place to spend the cold winters that is grounded and beautiful. The houses actually cost less than new RV’s, are totally non-toxic, built sustainably, and give you a great nights sleep.
For more information about Tiny Texas Houses which has been around and a leader in this arena for the last ten years, check out the rest of the photoblogs on the website that show the sorts of one of a kind houses you could have for your winter getaway that pay for the trip each year, and you can leave them here when you go back home.
Thanks for considering being part of a legendary market and event venue as well as a town build sustainably from 95% Pure Salvage. You can be part of the solution, and leave a legacy behind that the next 7 generations can learn from, be part of, and use as a model to build a new path other than the American Dream of gigantic houses, big cars, and consumerism that has taken over our nation. We can do better and this is the chance to show how that can be done.
Thanks for considering the road less traveled. Please consider contributing, sharing, and helping make this next part of our possible future materialize. Visit the crowdfunding site and join me in manifesting a legendary event venue and town built out of 95% Pure Salvage.
