New Workshop! San Antonio Summer Salvage Expedition – August 8-17, 2012

Breaking News! Join the Tiny Texas House team for our second Salvage Mining Expedition open to the public! We got a last-minute opportunity to salvage a HUGE house in San Antonio — don’t miss your chance to join the Tiny Texas House team for second Salvage Mining Expedition on Wednesday, August 8th to Friday, August 17th!

We are hosting an in-depth hands-on seminar to teach you how to salvage a huge 5,500 s.f. unwanted house to obtain materials to use in future tiny house building projects. This is a Eight-Day Intensive Expedition — but you may attend one or all eight days!

During the entire event, one should be able to learn how to take down the house, sort, pack and value the lumber it yields, the doors, windows, and other parts that create a means of making a living as well as building a house for yourself or those you love. This is up to 8 days of intense education for you to learn the principles and methods of correctly deconstructing a house to save and salvage the materials for reuse.

You may participate as an Auditor or as a Helper. All who attend at least three days are eligible for special 20% discount off of any materials reclaimed by us, or in our TTH inventory (This house has great Anderson wood single pane windows, tons of crown and baseboard moulding, drop can lights, tons of oak cabinetry, shelving, and tons of plywood and roofing materials). Helpers who work at least three days also get, in addition to the 20% discount, $50 worth of free materials for each day over the three days they work. Plus, there will be alot of surprize freebies, bargains and buying opportunities!
