Days for sale will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week of August and special appointments on Saturday, based on larger orders like packages for a Tiny House. If you want consulting on design, using the parts in Tiny Houses, and building with Salvage, some of that is included in the Tiny Texas House materials packages, but otherwise, it is $140 per hour for design and consultations. Prices will be cut by 1/3 to 1/2 of normal for this sale and will give people a chance to really kick up the quality of a package if they want to compared to normal.
This is a rare chance to shop the warehouses of Tiny Texas Houses and be able to buy doors, windows, flooring, siding, beaded wood, antique tin ceiling, and much more. As some may know, we are not generally open to the public on our warehouse inventory and likewise, our sale will be limited in access as well.
Therefore we are having a rare, in fact first time warehouse inventory reduction sale for two weeks and
only by appointment as it is a warehouse sale not a regular retail store type sale.
Sorry but this sale is not for everyone but we are just too understaffed to be able to service a many buyers at once for a big sale, as you can see it is not suited for large crowds because we have it stuffed so full.
The sale will go from December 1st through December 13th
for appointments from 10-5 each day,
Generally we will figure for up to an hour or two per customer depending on how big your wish list is. By calling ahead we may be able to save us both a bunch of time too by finding out what you are looking for and if we still have it. Normally we do not open our warehouses for buyers so this is a great chance to get the parts and pieces for the house of your dreams.
Here are some shots from the inventories we have on hand.
We are going to have between 2 – 4 houses available for staying overnight in… but they are still not fully on grid so it would be an adventure for some, but a fun one I suspect.
For many this will be an chance for a fun escapade into the dark deep spaces, over 120,000 sf of warehouses in all, I know I downplayed it in the other blog because it takes so long to go through all of them that I don’t have the time to show it all to everyone that wants to see it, but, if a big enough group of serious buyers, decorators, or people ready to get their parts and pieces for their house to be, then we may have a couple of full length tours of the three locations.
BE AWARE: The tours through the warehouses could include tight spaces possible if you want to go into the deepest nooks, so all must sign Must Sign Liability Releases in case some one does something crazy by pulling things off the hundreds of shelves without proper help, or breaks windows, etc. Thousands of windows and sashes on site, cat poop, dirt, dust, slivers, and as it is cooler now, not so much the bugs, snakes, mice, or other things that scare some people far worse than the critter can do damage as it runs to get away.
Access is limited and only with a guide so we do not lose people, have them get hurt pulling things down, or messing up our mess by just digging around to get stuff.
Can’t have that so we are going to accept appointments with serious buyers.
We do not have the manpower and it is not set up for people to just wander around.
We have two sites depending on the needs of the clients, so one day or two may be at the Gonzales warehouses that are about 70,000 square foot.
There are literally thousands of doors, from one panel to 12 panel doors, thousands and thousands of window sashes and windows in their frames ready to reuse. Flooring in Maple, Oak, Long Leaf Pine, and plain pine to pick from, even a limited batch of the very rare 1 3/8ths width virgin White Oak flooring which is perhaps 600 sf in that batch for example.
Some kitchen cabinets, fireplace boxes like new, trim from the 1800’s, early 1900’s, and base board, window jambs stock in all clear no knots Long Leaf Pine and Cypress, new old stock sashes from the 1800’s in 500 year old Cypress but never installed, and much more.
This is a limited access by appointment only sale for clients who will be spending at least $500.
It is not an open to the public anytime sale!
Nearly all of the inventory will be on sale with giant doors such as pocket doors, huge entry doors, giant windows, and other architectural antiques from Brad’s collection being sold off, much of it at half price or less, to make some room and move out of another one of the warehouses.
We have tons of materials, from shiplap, 1×12 barnwood, flooring, beaded board, and other parts for the interiors or exteriors that are salvaged, de-nailed, stacked, and ready for reuse.
We will recommend those interested contact us in advance for appointments as they will be limited in number based on the fact that the warehouses are far too extensive to service with the limited people we have here and only Brad will know and be able to give the best sale prices, so most of the clients will be meeting with him.
Soooooooo,…… if you are planning a home, big or small and want to integrate architectural antiques and salvage, plan on coming to
the first “End of the Year” Tiny Texas Architectural Antiques Warehouse Sale.
Such rarities as the nine beaded tongue and groove, and other hard to find species will likely not have much discount going on them as they take me years to acquire a good batch and I can use it in Tiny Houses. Even selling any of it off is normally not a consideration but if you only needed a little bit, I might let some go with part of other purchases.
If you have a list of what you are looking for it will help to schedule appointments. Groups coming into town together may be able to be co-ordinated and cover both the Luling and Gonzales Warehouses.
We have different days for different warehouses as two are in Gonzales if we can not find enough here and it is to much to drive for just one appointment as it takes an hour just to walk that space and see anything. Flash lights a must.
Also, which days are most convenient, whether you are coming prepared to take a bunch of stuff so I have guys to load available, and other considerations are being factored for scheduling appointments.
Thank you again for your interest and hopefully we will see you in the first of December. If the desires are consistent and we have a way to group a few of the buyers we may try to do that to in order to get more people through some of the remote spaces.
