This is the Ugly Duckling House that was taken down at the Seminar
The Ugly Duckling was a 2 day bootcamp to teach others how to take a house down quick.
Ugly duckling living area were a bit on the messy side. Not alot of cherries to find amidst the trash, but we did find a few.
This bookcase will end up in a White swan, or else the Kidd.
Ugly ceiling made of incredible wood.
The White Swan is a product of the Ugly Ducklings parts.
We did add a few things though, as there was not a lot to work with but the siding and some lumber. So we added a bit of beaded wood, some stained glass, a couple good doors, and an abracadabra or two to create this great space above the first floor where the kitchen, big bath, and living area will be.
From below you can see where the bedroom floor is being put down. It is made of 2×6 that we added the shiplap cut to make it stronger.
Here you can see the space for the sitting area which is about 5′ wide.
Here is a view with the stained glass back lit by the end of the day.
Here is the upper view looking down from the far side of the loft. The half over the kitchen will still be filled in.
Hard to catch Carlos but here is a blur as he flies by but it gives you an idea of how tall it is up there.
Here is the end view from where the bed would be using the flash.
This is the view from the back of the loft looking out over the opening where the railing will go. There will still be more floor over the pantry in the kitchen area. The stairs will go up at this end of the kitchen counter.
