We have offered seminars to teach how to do this before and not had a big response. We will have one more soon, and it will be the last I suspect as we reconsider having any more seminars for either building or salvaging in the future. Over the last decade I have been relatively unsuccessful at finding the people to join me in this adventure, to carry on the creation of these revolutionary Organic Cottages, the manifestation of the Pure Salvage Outposts as citizen Co-ops where people can gather the materials, store them, join together to build houses under shelter in common spaces, using common tools, and then a Co-op trailer that will ship them affordably to villages and places that will allow people to live in them for the rest of their lives.
I suppose some think that there is only one heaven just for them, but i believe that we are all expecting a different version of our own Heaven. Here is the way our Tiny Texas House named Heaven trans-mortifies into a new version that includes a side porch, different stair with bar built in the back, side doors in Diamonds, and a bit more.
Here is a limited peak at what will be one of the roomiest 11′ x 21′ tiny houses you will likely ever see build out of 95% Pure Salvaged Materials. It is a demonstration of what we can do if we decide to build toxin free, sustainable, and energy efficient housing that will never even use up as much energy as we saved by building with parts made long in the past.
Human energy, fuel to manufacture, cut shape, and ship is all saved before we start not to mention the big bucks in retailing through big box stores all of the modern crap we use to build with that is imported. Did I mention that we have no imports in this house either? Yes it is possible.
I hope you enjoy viewing the evidence, share this alternative to modern building, and see how it changes your health, aging rate, sleep, and many other things that are important to our future as a viable species on this planet.
Though she sits in an idyllic location, she will soon be up into the air to fly away to Wimberly where she will settle into a life on the Guadalupe River to be seen by those who paddle by or happen to be lucky enough to know the owners and visit, or if really lucky, get to sleep overnight.
For that reason, that so few will get to stay in the many houses I have built so far, that I am halting building Tiny Texas Houses to leave Salvage Texas for the rest of my career that is linked to this phase of what i have set out to do. Henceforth the goal is simply to build the houses and construct a village of 95% Pure Salvage that people can come visit, stay overnight or a bit longer for seminars or health retreats to teach people how to escape from the unhealthy and unhappy lifestyles we have adopted through our generations and are about to pass on as if alternatives do not exist.
I hope to create a land and village structure that can be replicated anywhere, in an irrevocable trust in order to carry on this vision using the 43 acres I have been developing with ponds, a market, houses, and much more that will give all the evidence that anyone should need to join in the Pure Salvage Living Renaissance that I believe offers solutions for many without importing, depending on global corporations, government handouts, or other systems that have already proven themselves as failures. They do not protect the health and welfare of their customers, the planet they steal the resources from, or the people who suffer from the toxins our consumerism creates.
I hope some will join me in this endeavor and help spread the notion that life is possible outside the world of new construction we have all helped create in the modern world that we hand off to our children. Not only will it produce a good return which I would hope to see reinvested, as I do with all that comes in, toward creating a 43 acres example of what we as a society and citizens can do without the approval or help from those who now run the world.
Thank you for caring enough to follow along and learn how we can make a difference by the way this generation chooses to downsize and the legacy we leave behind by making this last move, 72,000,000 strong into retirement that will never happen like we thought it would. We will downsize in our consumption rate or die as a species.
If you would like to invest, own stock in either the millions in inventory on hand to sell and build the houses, village, music venue, market, and still sell architectural antiques for the next twenty years as more houses keep being given to us adding ever more to the pile that can be used to form the housing of our great grandchildren, built today out of resources that if lost now, will never be replaced for the rest of our lives, theirs, and even the 7th generation from now, for that is how long it takes to grow a Long Leaf Pine tree, which is what formed these houses. Email me direct to Darby@Puresalvageliving.com or to Brad@tinytexashouses.com for those serious about owning an interest in a house with a good return, or as a part time escape from the city. Better still, invest in and come be part of the manifestation yourself by living in one of our Tiny Texas Houses, helping create the permaculture environment, the music venues, the Sustainable Salvage Market and SalvageFaire with its restaurant and recording studio above.
I believe that the right people will hear about this at the right time in their lives to make the changes they want in order to live their lives for the passion again, rather than the dollar.
Enjoy this beautiful day and what you can decide to do with it and all the others of your life to make this place better for all of those who follow.
